Why do people follow Jesus and look up for heaven?

I'm older than sin, and twice as ugly.

And if you aren't ready to get your hands dirty

or you aren't already doing something wonderful

then I don't really care who or what you are

Does that sound harsh?

Isn't there enough idle talk?

Isn't there enough “maybe tomorrow”?

Is it nicer to promote the things we know cause damage

or better to choose wisely?

Be the change you want to see in the world, right?

I want the world to stop being an enabler of corrosive traits

and start with the expansion of clear vision and love

I want the world to stop tolerating the mass senseless killing of deer and dogs and cats because we need to go faster, because

we can't afford to make an effort.

If I hurt your feelings, just know,

that whatever expression this casts across your 

face pales in my eyes

in comparision to expressions

on innocent animals crushed by hummers

on sick oil covered birds and fish

on those who lost sons, and daughters

and fathers and mothers

in murderous political theatres

and wars for profit.
